Business 1 Essay 28

“My 9-month plan to get a part-time job at no less than $20/hour to help a businessman improve his marketing.”

For the first month I would spend half of it putting myself out there. For the next half of the month (or however long it takes to find a job) I would go do the interviews of the business men that think I might be a good fit.

Once I get a job I would teach the business the basics. Money is the most marketable commodity, you need motivation, and that poorly designed ads never do well. Help them set up a website, social media sites, and get google ad words, and yellow pages advertising. This would be about two months.

Then I once the business is doing well I would ask the business to go through the Ron Paul Curriculum Business 1 and Business 2. I would set up a schedule where we could go through it in six months.

Then after the business is doing well I would go on to the next business that needed help.

Business 1 Essay 27

“What marketing advantages do you now have that you did not have when the week began?”

Something that I learned this week is how ads work, and how long ads are better than short ads. If you have a short ad then you don’t have as much time to list the products benefits. If you have a longer ad you can list more benefits.

A landing page is also useful, it must be straight to the point. No-one is going to dig for information in an ad, so you must make it clear.

I also earned that it is better to start small. If you start small and are new to the business and you happen to make a mistake, than you will be messing up in front of less customers. You can learn your mistakes in front of less people.

Business 1 Essay 26

“Procrastination Kills.” These words are very true not to just homework or a job, but to life. Let’s think about what it kills. I think that it kills time in a sense, not that you get less time in a day but that it kills time that you could be using to do something helpful. It can also kill good habits. Procrastination can become a habit and it therefore gets rid of good habits, like pacing yourself on an essay or a report and instead teaches you laziness. At the core of procrastination it is really just being lazy.

Procrastination comes in many different ways.

  1. It could just be that you don’t want to do something and you put it off until the last minute. This way of procrastination is the most common.
  2. Another way is to do something else that does need to be done, but the thing that you are putting off is much more significant. (This is where killing good habits comes into play.) Another way of saying this is, “Find a 101 ways to rearrange your sock drawer.” You really don’t need to do this but you say it so you don’t have to do something you don’t want to do.
  3. This is the last way and it is that you don’t do the project at all.

I am the type of person who likes to get things done, so I don’t procrastinate much. If you are someone who does procrastinate here are some tips that might help you.

  1. Start as soon as you are told to do this thing you need to do, or if you can start early. Like if you know your mom is going to ask you to clean your room then go and do it. Your parents will most likely be very happy with you as well.
  2. Pace yourself. Don’t feel like you have to do everything in a day, or even a few hours. Take the project and split it up between several different days.
  3. If you just don’t feel motivated to do the project then tell yourself. “I need to do this anyway so why not start on it now and save my sanity so I don’t have to deal with a lot of stress.”
  4. And here is the last one ask yourself, “Is the stress worth it?”
